STILL SO HOT IN MIAMI'S SOUTH BEACH FOR MATT DUNN PHOTOGRAPHY

This heat is killing us this season. Of course we are used to a certain amount but really??? I was in Key Biscayne on an editorial shoot(magazine shoot for all you newbies out there)and afterward got in my car and the temp meter said it was 108 degrees. It is nearly impossible to do a location shoot this summer without knowing major reconstructive retouching would need to be administered. I love living and working down here but come on the year of 2013 has proven to be difficult to get through. Where you have to take your cameras and lenses out 30 minutes in advance of using them for the cold/heat to equalize. An conversely cannot take the models out more than a second before you shoot them as they will melt. Well heading down now for another hot one. We might revisit this when I get back this evening.
This model has the right idea when it comes to cooling off!!!

MICHELE POMMIER IS BACK!!!

I have recently been shooting some of the new kids that Michelle Pommier is bringing to the marketplace. We have been working together for 25 years and have, together, found and developed some very famous models. Here is another model I just photographed for her that is getting ready to make a mark in the business. These images are for Russian Esquire.  Michele has had the nack for finding,developing, and producing some of the most iconic girls and guys in the fashion modeling business. She stepped away from the business for a short time and now, in 2013, is back with a vengence to take back Miami Beach as rightfully hers.  Using her influence in the modeling world and employing many of the principals and people she started with, once again she is destined to be back on top.  Also creating alliance with Major Model Management, Michele Pommier is well on her way.

Aksana Samy with Next Models Miami

This is the beautiful Aksana Samy from Next in Miami Beach. She came to me to do some updates on her portfolio and I was immediately struck by how beautiful she was. She told me of some of the trouble she had here in Miami and I told her it wasn't her but the crazy economic mess we all are in. So after getting all of the dramatic beautiful shots done I moved to lots of smiles knowing that this economy people want to see smiles.She is a real pro and we had a lot of fun working together as is evident in this series of un-retouched contact sheets.
